The NT-07 is a transport product that can be combined with your D/A converter (USB, optical, or coaxial digital with either input) to create an advanced network audio environment. It can mainly be used as a sound source NAS (Network Attached Storage) that supports the industry-standard platform OpenHome standard, USB storage that can be attached directly to the main unit, and a number of popular music streaming services. At the heart of the circuit is the latest generation of high-speed application processor modules that handle a rich set of functions stress-free and provide comfortable operation.
High-capacity series power supply in a thin housing and thorough noise suppression
Like many of Luxman’s audio components, the NT-07 has a circuit design that takes a first-place approach to sound quality. The power supply section is equipped with a large-capacity OI type power transformer and a custom-made block capacitor composed of two 10,000 μF ×. We have constructed a traditional high-inertia (high inertia) power supply circuit that boasts a high noise compression ratio and a sense of stability. In addition, the low-profile chassis consists of a highly rigid chassis, and the front panel has an exquisite blaster white finish, which is a common design motif for Laxman products, creating an elegant and simple appearance that is easy to integrate into existing audio systems.
Supports a variety of audio formats and a high-definition OLED display
The USB output of the NT-07 supports the highest sampling frequencies boasting a maximum of PCM 768kHz/32bit and DSD 22.5MHz/1bit (optical and coaxial output up to PCM 192kHz/ 24bit）。 In addition, it has a built-in core decoding function for MQA format sound sources, and can be selected from three modes: “Off”, “Core Decoding”, and “Pass-through” according to the connected D/A converter. In the center of the front panel, a large high-definition OLED display is installed that displays various information in an easy-to-read manner, such as the song name and artist name of the music being played, the elapsed time, and the format of the playback sound source.
Simple server functionality with a full-fledged audio-only NAS or USB
Compatible with the OpenHome standard, the NT-07 can read sound source data stored on a music server built on the NAS and play it back with high quality. By choosing a NAS with noise suppression and enhanced power supply, such as Melco Syncrets’ “DELA” and IO Data Equipment’s “fidata,” which were developed as audio-only devices, you will be able to access even higher quality and more convenient sound sources. In addition, without building a network environment, USB terminals containing sound source data can be connected to the front and rear (either for exclusive use).
A high-quality streaming service that allows you to enjoy a huge amount of music data in all directions
A subscription-type music streaming service that allows you to listen to a huge number of songs approaching 1 million songs for a fixed monthly fee. The NT-07 has a rich lineup of high-resolution sound sources, and is compatible with Qobuz and TIDAL, which are integrated with the dedicated app “LUXMAN Stream”, and Spotify, which has an overwhelming number of users and attractive recommendation functions. In addition, it also supports TuneIn, which allows you to listen to Internet radio and podcast programs from all over the world for free.
Dedicated app and infrared remote control for a sophisticated operating environment
“LUXMAN Stream” is a free control app dedicated to the NT-07 that allows you to operate a variety of functions on a sophisticated screen. Each smartphone and tablet has its own interface, allowing you to select sound sources, create playlists, and configure various settings for the device. In addition, an aluminum infrared remote control that allows you to perform major operations without launching the application is also included. You can also control the playback of the Luxman disc player and the volume of the pre-main/control amplifier. It is also equipped with control input/output terminals that link remote control operation between compatible devices.
HDMI input/output terminals also enable digital audio import from video sources
The NT-07 is equipped with an HDMI input that can input digital audio signals from Blu-ray players and game consoles, and an ARC-compatible HDMI output terminal (2-channel PCM 2kHz/192bit compatible) that can also play audio from a connected TV as a means of importing audio from a video source into a 24-channel audio environment. With the addition of the NT-07, it is possible to simply and smartly build a high-quality living audio system that can be used from any source, from networked sound sources to live video and watching movies, without disrupting the established listening style of existing audio systems.
Roon and a variety of other network playback support and resampling functions
NT-07 is scheduled to be supported as an output device (Roon Ready) for Roon, a popular comprehensive music playback software (certification is underway as of July 2023). Apple devices (iPhone/ iPad/Mac) and Windows PC, cast playback with NT-7 as the output destination is also realized. In addition, it is equipped with a resampling function according to the sampling frequency and number of bits supported by the connected D/A converter, PCM 07.44kHz ~ 1kHz, bit number 384bit/16bit, DSD 24.2MHz ~ 8.11 It is now possible to set up and down samples individually for each format up to MHz.
