The Elac IC 1005 is a premium-grade in-ceiling speaker. Its compact external and fitting dimensions make it ideal for installation inside walls or ceilings. Not only is it perfect for virtually invisible stereo or multichannel installations, but it also makes an excellent addition to conventional Floorstanding or bookshelf loudspeakers. The IC 1005 is easy to install, extremely robust, and blessed with absolutely authentic sound.

High-quality Elac sound

The coaxial configuration of the ELAC IC 1005 delivers uniform radiation characteristics and is capable of filling large listening areas. The 130 mm fiberglass-reinforced polypropylene membrane ensures the authentic reproduction of critical mid-bass frequencies. The 20 mm fabric dome tweeter guarantees accurate reproduction of the high-frequency range.

Easy Installation

The compact IC 1005 combines high-quality sound with exceptional ease of installation. The magnetically-fixed cover grille of the IC 1005 can be removed and refitted without the need for tools. As the grille covers the entire loudspeaker, the IC 1005 can be easily color-coded to match its surroundings by painting the grille. The loudspeaker sports a four-piece clamping mechanism to safely secure the speaker when installed. The Elac IC 1005 can be installed in-wall or in-ceiling structures up to 35 mm thick. A fitting template is included to aid installation.

Compatible with AV Receiver/Amplifier

The impedance of 6 ohms enables the effective use of the amplifier. It also allows connecting two IC 1005 units in parallel to conventional AV receivers or amplifiers, where the high efficiency makes the most of the available power.
